We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our IT Operations Management Team. This role will focus on supporting and administering our enterprise monitoring and event management platform as we transition from BMC TrueSight to ServiceNow ITOM. You will be integral to ensuring our systems run smoothly, enabling capabilities for end users, identifying and implementing automation initiatives, and participating in critical migrations. If you actively engage with teammates and end-users but also work well independently, take great ownership of your work, are comfortable with researching and proposing new ideas, and have a continuous improvement mindset, this could be the role for you!

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
    • Engineer I: $95,000 - $112,500, plus annual bonus opportunity
    • Engineer II: $112,500 - $128,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Application Support and Administration: Provide expert support and administration for vended applications, including ServiceNow ITOM, BMC Control-M, Eracent ITMC, and IBM ILMT, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.  This includes activities such as addressing end-user requests, system configurations, troubleshooting, and system & agent upgrades.
  • System Migrations: Work with project team members and key stakeholders to migrate from BMC TrueSight to ServiceNow ITOM while ensuring seamless operations during the transition.  Potential for a second migration project from BMC Control-M to another batch scheduling system in 2025 – 2026.
  • Automation and Problem-Solving: Identify, develop, implement, and document automation opportunities through tools such as Ansible.  The objectives of this automation are to enhance system and process efficiency, reduce manual maintenance, and enable self-healing of systems.
  • On-Call: Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule, with primary on-call responsibilities approximately 20% of the time.
  • Testing and Documentation: Creating test cases and scripts, performing testing, documenting results, and addressing failed tests.  Develop comprehensive technical documentation to support operational processes and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven experience in the administration of vended applications, that provide monitoring and event management capabilities, with strong preference towards ServiceNow ITOM experience.
  • Familiarity with Ansible for automation and scripting, PowerShell and/or Linux scripting, and RESTful API.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, security, and software installations.
  • Excellent testing ability, attention to detail, and technical documentation skills.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Expertise in ServiceNow ITOM administration. Will consider applicants with strong experience in the administration of BMC Patrol and TrueSight.
  • Proficiency in the administration of Control-M and/or Eracent ITMC is helpful.
